About Paige Musical Products
The love for music runs deep in the Paige family! From a young age, Bryan Paige recalls sitting in on practices for his father Ralph Paige’s Bluegrass band, R&L Express, teaching himself to play the mandolin and eventually becoming a key member of the band.
Pursuing a career as a journeyman tool maker, Bryan and his Dad opened a tool and die shop in Litchfield, Michigan, all the while traveling to bluegrass festivals, writing and playing music.
As the band continued to travel, so did word of the new Paige Capo. Thanks to buzz within the bluegrass world, the demand for this exciting new capo spread rapidly.
Securing a patent for their design, the pair took out ads in music magazines to reach a broader audience. Although the demand for Paige Capo steadily grew, the tool and die shop remained essential to supporting Bryan’s growing family.
As orders increased, Bryan dedicated more time to capos, and Paige Musical became a standalone company, relocating to Jonesville, Michigan in the early 2000s. Paige Musical slowly became a highly respected and renowned musical accessory, accepting invitations to frequent events, festivals, and award shows.
Bryan continued to expand the Paige Musical line, designing capos for the banjo/mandolin, electric guitar, 12 string guitar, and the classical guitar. Most recently, Paige Musical has released the CLIK ETI and the Paige Pro collection, completely revolutionizing capos with it’s patented technology.
With a large number of country music and bluegrass musicians located in Nashville and the surrounding areas, Paige Musical began to scout out new potential locations for their shop, eventually falling in love with the Appalachian Mountain region.
Paige Musical is proud to now exclusively operate out of Erwin, Tennessee, where they are dedicated to releasing exciting new products and continuing to produce high-quality, tried-and-true capos loved by musicians everywhere.
